The Aspen Police Department is an organization proud with tradition and progressive means of policing the Aspen Community. Located 40 miles southeast of Glenwood Springs, Aspen boasts a resident population of 6500, which swells to 35,000 during Christmas week. The police department consists of 35 employees, 28 are certified peace officers. The police department works closely with the community to create an excellent quality of living in the City of Aspen.
