Built in 1889, the Historic Wheeler Hosts Music, Theater,Dance, Film, Lectures and Community Events.

The historic Wheeler Opera House was built in 1889 by Jerome B. Wheeler.
On the State and National Historic Registers, the Wheeler was restored to its current
Victorian splendor by the City of Aspen in 1984.
A variety of programs from theater, concerts, and community events,
to films, lectures, and private functions are presented throughout the year.
The Wheeler is supported by a Real Estate Transfer Tax (RETT), which enables it to be
used by local non-profit organizations at a subsidized rate. The Wheeler Opera House
and Second Floor Lobby are available for rental throughout the year.
Box Office hours are 10 AM to 6 PM Monday through Saturday and 10 AM to 5 PM on Sunday.
