Parking Enforcement

The City of Aspen implemented a transportation plan and parking management system designed to decrease congestion, improve air
quality and preserve our small town character. Aspen's parking department monitors and enforces on-street parking programs,
providing courteous and responsive customer service and information on all your parking options.
The City of Aspen implemented a
Pay-and-Display parking system in
January 1995. The system was the first of its kind in North America.
Beginning in 2007, Aspen's meters will be replaced with solar powered meters in keeping with the town's innovative
Canary Initiative.
