Vehicle Maintenance & Snow Removal The City of Aspen Fleet Department completes preventative vehicle maintenance within the OEM Specification for each vehicle, they also assist in the snow removal process and work closely with all departments in their fabrication and maintenance needs.

The Fleet Department consists of approximately 300 pieces of Equipment. That is everything from pumps and compressors to road graders and loaders. The Fleet Department have two mechanics and one shop foreman, which keep the vehicles and equipment in operation on a full time basis. The mechanics goals and outcome measures is to keep the vehicles serviced according to the manufacturers Original Equipment Manufacturers specs. Which they have accomplished since the city started doing the Goals and Outcome measures in 1997.

The Fleet helps with the snow removal process and works closely with all departments, assisting them in their needs on fabrication and maintenance issues.

The staff strives at keeping a positive image of the Fleet and Operations Departments for the City of Aspen.
