Non-Profit Grant Program
City of Aspen General Information
The City of Aspen recognizes the significance of community-based organizations and/or groups, and
the importance they play in providing various services in the communities they serve.
The City's primary focus of grant funding is within the City of Aspen and the Roaring Fork
Valley. The City looks for opportunities to fund non-profits in the areas of Arts, Community
Non-Profits and Health and Human Services that add value to the service area for quality of life
in the community.
The City further recognizes that, at times, circumstances may warrant that financial assistance
be provided to some of these groups. Since economic constraints dictate that every request for
financial assistance cannot be granted, the City, in order to ensure that each request is
processed equitably and consistently has formulated eligibility requirements and policy
guidelines that must be met by all applicants requesting grant funding.
The City supports a broad range of non-profits, including Arts, Community Non-Profits and Health
and Human Services. The grant citizen review committee and City Council look for impact on local
community and quality of life.
The City of Aspen provides funding support to private 501(c)3 non-profit organizations that
provide critical health and human services and community resources, and also cultural and arts
organizations.
