Aspen, Colorado – May 14, 2012– Kids First in collaboration with all the early childhood programs in Pitkin County will host the 22nd annual children’s parade Thursday, May 17 at 10am.
More than 300 children, teachers and parents will line up in front of Boogies to parade through the streets of Aspen. The parade ends on the pedestrian mall by the Wheeler Opera House* followed by cookies and water. The annual children’s parade is a showcase for the young children that reside in Pitkin County and how important they are to the future of the community. The month of May is declared Month of the Young Child in Pitkin County, which gives organizations a chance to recognize our youngest citizens.
Thursday will be a great day to celebrate the most important and influential time in a person’s life as crucial brain development happens during young childhood. The City of Aspen is lucky to have a community that celebrates the efforts of Kids First and all the early childhood programs in Pitkin County.
*Parade route is Cooper to Galena to Hyman mall to the fountain.
